It doesn’t change the game which is Russia’s attacks and occupation of Crimea and parts of Eastern and South Eastern Ukraine. President Putin has cause for alarm since he is the attacker and Trump is the decider. Tomakawk missiles are rather slow flying missiles at about 550 mph. Russia has the fastest missile that flies at 20,000 miles an hour which is 36 times faster than the Tomahawk so Russia can easily shoot down a tomahawk, right? Well, no. A Tomakawk can fly as low as 100 feet above the ground and is therefore difficult for radar to detect. Muliple Tomahawks would overwhelm Russia’s detection and destruction capability. In addition, a counter missile can shoot down a Russian missile but it’s like trying to hit a .45 caliber bullet in flight with another .45 caliber bullet. .45 caliber bullets tracel about 600 miles and hour, well below the speed of many hypersonic missiles. So…. Is Ukraine safe from Russia? No, of course not. Russia is a much larger country with overwhelming military superiority which is why it’s important for Ukraine to have powerful allies who can help fight against Russia. And Russia is an aggressive country with a very aggressive president who has already used the Russian military to invade and occupy parts of Ukraine. Plus.. the United Nations will not help Ukraine. the European Union will not help Ukraine oppose Russia. That’s well known because Russia has already flown missiles over parts of the European Union. Bottom line is Russia cannot be trusted. President Putin cannot be trusted and even though Donald Trump has tried and tried, Putin is still fighting against Ukraine. What’s next?
