The lies have already begun. In an article in The Unz Review (Tucker Carlson and the Resurrection of the 9/11 Truth Movement, Part II Ron Unz • October 6, 2025) Larry Johnson is a former longtime CIA operative with a great deal of expertise in firearms, and on Friday (10/3/2025) he spoke for members of the latter community, flatly declaring that “it was physically impossible that Kirk was killed by the 30-06 bullet that the authorities have claimed.” Therefore, according to him, Tyler Robinson will certainly be found innocent if he is brought to trial…. But the effective range of the 30-06 with a Hornady 180 gr SP is up to 1901 yards and Kirk was shot at 200 yards, about 1/10th of the effective range. Why did Johnson say that it was impossible when it’s not only clearly possible, a quick consult with a ballistic table shows it’s an easy shot to make, especially with a telescopic sight on a rifle like the one used by Tyler Robinson. In addition, there are loads of bullets that are even better than the 30-06. A .223 for example can easily kill someone 2 miles away and Charlie Kirk was only 200 yards from the shooter. A .223 can accurately be described as a .22 even though the popular .22 cartridge is much, much weaker. Even so, a small .22 bullet can be lethal at 200 yards so Larry Johnson is clearly wrong.
But Charlie Kirk was killed with a 30-06 Mauser model 98 bolt-action rifle designed and produced as far back as 1898, 127 years ago. In fact the 30-06 is far more powerful than the M-16 currently used by the U.S. Military. Kirk was killed by a shooter using a military rifle made to kill enemies in a war.
