The Eagles won by one point but they almost lost because the one point lead happened in the final two minutes… Whew!.. That was close. The defense played better than they did on Monday Night but Indianapolis led from the opening drive until the final 1 minute 20 seconds when Jalen Hurts had to carry the team on his back and run into the end zone for a touchdown to tie the game. Hurts however seems unemotional. Maybe he should get himself fired up a bit more so he can fire up the rest of the offense and put more points on the board.
Hurts played very well. He completed 18 of 25 passes for 190 yards, a TD, and ran for 86 yards and another TD on 16 carries — willing the Eagles into the end zone in the game-changing drive. The Eagles overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit for the first time in 12 years. It was an ugly win against a team that fired itself up and almost won. Still, a win by one point is a win but, … well, … it was a win after all and Philly is nine and one. Congrats to the entire Eagles team, staff and their fired up fans who made it to Indianapolis to help yell their team to a win. The Eagle was nearly replaced by the Dodo Bird. 🙂
