She apologized….
First Lady Jill Biden on Tuesday issued an apology for comments she made in a Monday speech in San Antonio, Texas, saying that diversity among Latinos is as “unique” as “breakfast tacos.” She didn’t call the people taco’s. She was referring to their diversity and she called their diversity as unique as Breakfast taco’s which are not really diverse. Taco’s for breakfast aren’t just unique, their practically non-existent. In addition The First Lady mis-pronounced bodega calling them “bo-digga’s”. This is just awful. We thought Jill Jacobs Biden was smart. Now we know we were wrong. She’s just been in the right place at the right time… not smart at all. Not when she cannot pronounce bodega. Not when she implies Latin people are like tacos. That’s a derisive term for Hispanic people. Calling an Hispanic a taco is worse than calling them a low person. Taco is a derisive name and Jill Biden should never have used it but she did. This will stay with her forever. Too bad for her but worse for those she insulted.
