The movie converted me from being at best indifferent about Cruise to actually liking him. As Maverick he’s normal. He’s a great pilot in real life. Ho owns a bunch of airplanes so he’s comfortable in a movie cockpit. His girlfriend is not a raving beauty. Nothing at all against Jennifer Connelly.. She does a credible job that wasn’t difficult at all.
