How Much Of each? …. Depends on the taste you want….I use onion.. That’s Steak Diane Heresy but it cooks down. Shallots give a slightly less pungent flavor but most people cannot notice it. Some people add beef broth. Fine.. It cooks off but the sauce is going on beef so why add beef to the beef?
The most noticeable taste comes from the Wooster Sauce, mushrooms and cream. I make sure to use cognac or at least brandy. It suits me better.
