Why The Government Does Not Know How Many Americans Are Still In Afghanistan

A visa to enter a country is not granted nor available from America. The country to which you wish to travel is in charge of granting visas, not America. A visa to travel to Afghanistan can only be issued by Afghanistan. America has nothing to do with where Americans go. Americans are free to travel wherever they wish. Americans do not need a visa to leave America. They need a visa to enter certain countries. Afghanistan is one of those countries.
