The lawsuit is a civil suit. It’s Case #1:21-cv-06702, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. (HERE). There is no amount of money specified in the lawsuit but it clearly alleges the prince raped Virginia Giuffre. What’s that worth? Millions. Think in terms of a beloved girl or woman who is raped and who will carry that with her for her entire life.
The lawsuit accuses Prince Andrew of rape which is a criminal offense. So far as evidence there is no evidence in the actual lawsuit. The evidence will have to come out at trial. How difficult is that? We can’t tell because we have not seen the evidence. The lawsuit has allegations which is one of the purposes of a lawsuit. If the allegations are proven it may become a criminal matter but for now it is a civil matter. We hope the truth of these matters comes out but it seems doubtful that it ever will. Probably Giuffre will settle with the prince without a trial. That’s the most likely outcome at the moment. Perhaps Ghislane Maxwell will testify and provide the evidence needed by Giuffre to validate her claims. There is a lot of evidence in the form of documents that are available to show Giuffre and the prince were together although none of the documents would prove the intimacy needed to substantiate the Giuffre’s claims. We will have to wait and see but it sure looks bad for the prince.
