There’s no way to consider George Floyd’s death by the police who are supposed to protect the people as a great failure of the four men who knelt on George. Protecting George was their job. First, last and in-between. They should have protected George Floyd but they didn’t. Why not?
The feelings towards black people by police who watch them everyday are feelings generated over quite a long time. There are great differences between black people and people of all other races. The ugly truth is still the truth and the truth is there are big differences between black people and other people. Start with what nature did. Different skin color but there are far more differences. Some of those differences are profound and they make it impossible to conclude that people are created equal.
But that’s the message. That’s the message drummed into people from birth to death. It’s in the founding documents. The Declaration of Independence which was created to show why England could not rule over America but the big racial mistake is in the first sentence. The Declaration states, “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal,…. Get it? Equal doesn’t mean there are black people and white people but that simple fact can be confirmed by looking.
