The theme is that “dedicated practice” is what made Jerry Rice and Tiger Woods  the greatest players, not some inborn talent. The author misses the point that without a severe interest in improvement “dedicated practice” will not happen. Also, one person can practice for one hour for three hours and another can practice for three hours in three hours. Both are dedicated but one will achieve more than the other.

Then there’s the desire to win, the desire to excel which is needed to practice over and over to get as near to perfection as possible. Bottom Line? If you want to succeed you will have to put in the practice time. That’s not a guarantee you will be the best but it is a guarantee that you will be among them. Pay attention.
