Putin has rigged the Belarus elections for 24 years and it happened again in August bringing the people into the streets in protest but they need the UN to get rid of the corrupt tyrant. The rally today in Minsk proves the people are outraged but protests cannot control a tyrant. President Alexander Lukashenko (looks like a guy named Reg who I used to know), was put in charge by Putin and he remains in charge while the world is watching America and the Trump presidency.
More than 100,000 people filled Minsk’s Independence Avenue above calling for Lukashenko to step down. There were similar marches in other cities, including Brest, Vitebsk and Grodno.
This is what life degnerates to in a corrupt dictatorship like Belarus today. Powerless people because the president controls the military, the police and the courts.
