Under Trump The Gun Show Loophole Is Gone… And No Gun Has Ever Been Fired By A Gun… So The Idea of Gun’s being violent is another non-starter too. People can be violent and violent people need to be stopped when they are being violent.

Every gun sold in America requires a six page Federal Firearms Transaction Record form be completed and signed by the buyer and be subject to a federally run background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Every gun… Every Single Gun. So there’s no loophole. If every gun sold must be approved by the feds, and that’s what are sold at gun shows, there is no gun show or gun sale loophole that people can go through. None.

If there’s no loophole there’s no loophole to close.

It’s worth pointing out that the Trump administration has well surpassed the Obama administration in going after illegal guns.

In fiscal year 2017, the federal NICS system denied about 112,000 background checks for falsifying information (e.g., failure to disclose a felony conviction). As of June 2018, however, the U.S. attorney field offices had prosecuted only about a dozen of these cases. Hmmm… Something strange about all that.
