As TV became a bettter way to watch a football game the stadiums became more and more empty. The cost of a large screen TV is a few hundred dollars. A single seat at a stadium can cost much more. Even the cheap seats aren’t vheap.
An NFL game looks fantastic in color on a 65″ TV inside a comfortable family room where the tempeture is regulated by a thermostat that turns on a heater or air conditioner. Large, confortable, cushioned seats, nearby kitchen and rest rooms provide an extremely wonderful way to watch an NFL game. What more is needed?
The crowd. There’s no denying being there when the crowd erupts is a great experience. People enjoy being part of the experience. It’s probably the best way to experience free trade as the seats are very, very expensive, the players are paid very well according to their capability and unlike soccer there is far more explosive action that shows powerful people in highly controlled action according to rules.
