Omar received intense scrutiny for her antisemitic remarks. Unfortunately the leaders of her party, the Democrats have refused to condemn her hatred of the Jews. .
In 2012, Omar wrote on Twitter that Israel had “hypnotized the world” and said, “may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings” of the Jewish state. The progressive lawmaker tweeted in February that support in Congress for Israel is “all about the Benjamins baby,” falsely suggesting that American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) bribes lawmakers to support the country.
Top House Democrats condemned the statement but not the woman who said it. Omar refused to apologize for her anti-Jewish attitude and her anti-Jewish slur.
President Trump said: “Nothing they say on the subject of race is sincere. It’s all the hustle designed to get them what they want. Omar has made a career of denouncing anyone and anything in her way as racist.”
Omar eventually apologized for infering Jews buy influence on Capitol Hill but several weeks later she claimed pro-Israel congressmen hold “allegiance to a foreign country.” Does this idiot ever get things right?
