During the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001, 2,996 people were murdered (including the 19 hijackers) and more than 6,000 others injured. The immediate murders included 265 on the four planes (including the terrorists), 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon. The attacks were the deadliest terrorist act in world history, and the most devastating foreign attack on United States soil against the United States since the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Ilhan Omar referred to that and them as “some people did something.
In February, Ilhan Omar apologized for her anti-semetic remarks that she made about Israel, remarks that prompted a House resolution condemning anti-Semitism that was widened to include other forms of bigoted speech. She also said: “Thank you for standing with me — against an administration that ran on banning Muslims from this country — to fight for the America we all deserve.” That was nonsense directed against the legitimate president of the United States, Donald Trump.
PRESIDENT TRUMP DID NOT BAN MUSLIMS FROM THIS COUNTRY even though the 9/11 attacks were committed by 19 Muslim Immigrants…..Ilhan knows that. Everyone knows that yet she continues to tell this outrageous fib about president Trump.
And the full quote of what she said: “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” she said. But CAIR was formed in June of 1994, twenty four years ago. 9/11 happened eight (8) years ago. Also, CAIR has been called a terrorist organization. In November 2014 CAIR was designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates, due to alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood which is also a terrorist organization. Six Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate have alleged ties between the CAIR founders and Hamas. Both cofounder Omar Ahmad and Awad were involved previously with the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), a group described by the FBI, in 1993, as “intimately tied to the most senior Hamas leadership.”, and participated in a meeting held in Philadelphia on October 3, 1993, with Hamas sympathizers and officials of the Holy Land Foundation (which was designated in 1995 by Executive Order, and later designated in a 2008 court case, as an organization that had raised millions of dollars for Hamas. Based on electronic surveillance of the meeting, the FBI reported that “these participants took great pains to disguise their association with Hamas…referring to it simply as ‘The Movement'” Hardly “some people who did something.”
