Smollett, who is black was indicted on 16 felony counts related to making a false report that he was attacked by two white men who shouted racial and gay slurs in downtown Chicago on January 29. Police and prosecutors said the gay black faux actor falsely reported to authorities he was attacked by white people, white men specifically because he was unhappy with his pay on the Fox show and to promote his career as an anti-white activist.
A source close to Smollett says the prosecution’s case “disintegrated.” As we reported, there were issues with the $3,500 check the 2 black brothers received from Jussie. The Police Superintendent had said the money was payment for the fake attack, but it appears it was actually for physical training for activities leading up to the false attack.”
