It might not be the best chef’s knife for you but for me it’s the absolute best. It has the right weight, the handle fits my hand, the steel is so hard that the edge lasts and lasts and it’s a pleasure to use. It’s rather expensive if you can find one. Used it’s worth over $300 but it’s almost impossible to find one on ebay or anywhere else.
There are many, many other outstanding chef’s knives and one or more of them might be better for you but not for me. I sent it to the factory for sharpening years ago. It’s still sharp and easy to use.
I have many other knives that are also great but the Shun Kaji KDM-0017 is my favorite.
