It’s not for everyone. It’s not even for most people who are simply unequipped for it. High school used to be higher but it’s been dumbed down to the level of perhaps the eight grade because so many high school students are too low to do the work. Education is oversold. College is a place to learn higher things but it’s been dumbed down to the old high school level plus perhaps a year or two more but while it’s best to make the mistake of getting too much education rather than too little, college should eliminate every subject that can be covered by just reading a book without developing a demonstrable skill. Colleges have become the place where the stupid actually become stupider. In fact many college professors say today’s college students really ARE dumber and lazier.
