Bleeding Green…. Didn’t see this loss and this bad of a loss coming. Wentz was terrible, throwing three interceptions. The birds pass defense was their usual awful, really, really awful normal that should have been fixed three or four games ago by getting some taller players in the defensive secondary. It’s not rocket science, which by the way, is not all that hard for us scientists. But football, even at the NFL level isn’t rocket science either. Most fans know how awful Pederson has been. Ok. Ok. He’s a nice guy and all that but he needs to go. Nick Foles needs to step in and get show Wentz how to at least keep the ball in the hands of the Eagles and not throw three interceptions. Wentz was that bad. New Orleans outgained the Eagles 547-196.
Then there’s Golden Tate. Great, great runner who was hardly given the ball. Hey Doug! Give Tate the ball. He’s a great runner. He gains yards.

There are loads of defensive players available who are tall enough to be NFL defenders. Pederson should have learned that three or four games ago and fixed it.
The Eagles and Redskins play on Monday Night Football at the Linc on Dec. 3. It’s the first of their two matchups. The ‘Skins just lost their starting quarterback. If the Eagles lose to the ‘Skins, Pederson needs to be fired on the spot during the final two minutes.

Sports Philadelphia wrote: “How do you not have your team prepared? How do you not have your team ready? How do you come out every freaking week looking utterly lost on both sides of the ball? They lost by 41 points, the largest loss by a defending Superbowl champion in history.
Even though the Saints are the dirtiest team in the NFL it’s well known and was visible during the game. The Saints play dirty. Their coach, Sean Payton was suspended for the entire 2012 NFL season because of his “alleged” involvement in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal, under which “bounties” were paid for contact that would “knock out” targeted players on opposing teams. Payton denied any program encouraging Saints players to injure opposing players ever existed, even though the NFL claims that their evidence proves otherwise. Payton coached for the Eagles and was fired for being too dirty.

Condoleezza Rice? Here’s what Condi recently posted her response to the news that she should be hired as a coach for the losing Cleveland Browns on Facebook:

“I love my Browns — and I know the Browns will hire an experienced coach to take us to the next level. On a more serious note, I do hope that the NFL will start to bring women into the coaching profession as position coaches and eventually coordinators and head coaches. One doesn’t have to play the game to understand it and motivate players. But experience counts — and it is time to develop a pool of experienced women coaches.

“BTW — I’m not ready to coach but I would like to call a play or two next season if the Browns need ideas! And at no time will I call for a “prevent defense.”

The Eagles game-planning, preparation and play-calling have been inconsistent all season. The 48 point loss should be enough for Jeff Laurie to get the head coach problem fixed. It came down to a defense that couldn’t get off the field, a defense that couldn’t make the plays that were there to make, a defense that couldn’t handle the pass defense and an offense that wasn’t coordinated.
Plus, too many big and bad decisions behind the scenes and in front of our eyes to let the bleeding go on. Fix the defense. Fix Pederson.
And at least give Condi a call. .
