Guns, . . . like cars, knives and dynamite are common but dangerous. Cars kill more people than wars.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 2016 data shows 37,461 people were killed in 34,436 motor vehicle crashes, an average of 102 per day.
In 2010, there were an estimated 5,419,000 crashes, 30,296 of with fatalities, killing 32,999, and injuring 2,239,000. About 2,000 children under 16 die every year in traffic collisions. Records indicate that there has been a total of 3,613,732 motor vehicle fatalities in the United States from 1899 to 2013.
Yet people trust in each other to drive and live responsibly. We don’t expect to be killed by a car, stabbed or shot. That common trust is the basis for the success of freedom, the freedom that’s threatened by Liberals and those who don’t agree that people can be trusted. They must be engaged and defeated.
“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; . . . . you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
