It’s still four hours until sunrise and the winter prediction of a groundhog in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania but it’s mighty cold outside so the sensible prediction is six more weeks of winter.
A little thought shows the groundhog prediction is based on sunshine. The forecast for Punxsutawney for Feb 2, 2018 is for clouds so the groundhog will not see a shadow, or if it does it will be a muted one. What’s the prediction is the groundhog only sees a half shadow?
C’mon…..It’s a joke. A groundhog is a woodchuck. .
Dress for the weather; enjoy the day, …. and the groundhog. It’s more fun that way.
