She has plenty. Rodger Ailes, she says, tried to kiss her when she was single. She considered that “sexual harassment”. She never reported it and praised Ailes for supporting her career at FOX.
She prepared several “trap questions” for presidential candidate Donald Trump. She had help with that from colleagues at FOX. They set-up Trump to look bad. Kelly is disreputable on those two scores but there’s more in the book that shows how small Kelly’s character really is.
Kelly want’s to “Settle For More” which is the title of her book and she’s made sure she got more, just not always in the most noble ways.
Kelly highlights what Christopher Hitchens wrote was the difference between an open mind and an empty mind: the latter “will not stay vacant for long but will be swiftly filled up—with platitude.”
The book seems written by a fifth grader and the stories of Kelly’s life seem to have topped out at that intellectual level. It’s a fast read but it’s also a book to be missed. I bought a copy for $0.25 and would have been better if I could have read of review of it before shelling out the quarter. Don’t waste your time. . .
