On paper Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has a great record but his last game of the last season was an unusual interception, unusual because his Touchdown to Interception ration is a phenomenal 72 Touchdowns to 14 interceptions. Carson Wentz is 16 to 14.
Wentz is more unusual than Cousins. Wentz is much bigger. Much bigger in the only game where size counts big time. But cousins has a phenominal passer rating: 93.6 compared to Wentz’s 79.3. That’s a big difference.
Wentz is a kid of 24 who will be 25 in December. Cousins is 29.
Who’s smarter? Wentz graduated Validictorian. That’s the kid with the highest average. Cousins graduated.
Cousins is what’s called a “Goody-Goody”. Wentz is a killer. He hunts in the off-season. Cousins hobby seems to be religion. He’s a pastor. As an NFL starting quarterback he’s in the the wrong business. Who would you want in your church and who would you want to be with in the woods with guns?
Wentz is bigger than Cousins. He’s one of the biggest quarterbacks at six foot five plus before he puts on his football cleats which gives him more height in a game where height matters, ….a lot.
Size matters because longer legs mean bigger steps; longer arms mean faster passes. Wentz has been measured at 57 mph. Cousins is much slower so there are no ball velocity numbers for him. Size matters.
