. . . every one is created equal when it’s painfully obvious from kindergarten on that we are not. Socialism is based on the idea of not only should people be equal, the government is justified in taking money from people who earn it and therefore own it and giving it to people who need more money. From each according to his ability; to each according to his needs. That’s Socialism as identified by Karl Marx. That’s the basis of Krugman’s Socialism. Socialism is an economic system based on exploiting some people for the benefit of others. A system based exploitation is a system based on theft. Socialism has brought economic paralysis and/or collapse to every country that tried it. The degree of the disaster is the degree of Socialism.
Socialism is evil. It employs evil means, confiscation and intimidation, to accomplish what are often seen as noble goals — namely, helping one’s fellow man.
“To be a socialist,” says Goebbels, “is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole.”

President Trump, to Krugman’s annoyance, is a Capitalist. Capitalism is based on trade, not taking money from someone and giving it to someone else.

Some people excel in math. Most people cannot do math let alone excel in it so the idea of being created equal is simply false so far as doing math in concerned. Lowering the bar and changing math to arithmetic increases the number of people able to do arithmetic is greater but it doesn’t change the underlying principle that all people are not equal in math.

You say being equal means people are not equal in all things but being created equal means something different? But the argument is whether or not people are equal. Those are the worlds in the Declaration of Independence. . . . Quote: “We hold these truths to be selfevident: that all men are created equal; end quote. Either created equal means that or it doesn’t mean anything at all. Either the words mean what they say or they do not.

Paul Krugman has shown an offensive lack of understanding and a lack of respect for Capitalism and for the office of the president and Krugman did it simply to score political points. This kind of rhetoric is beneath the dignity of anyone who respects truth. Truth is a casualty of Socialism. Krugman is another casualty of Marx.
Everyone is entitled to respect until and unless they prove to not deserve it. There’s no need to tolerate evil. No need to respect people who have a wrong attitude. People are entitled to be judged. There’s no need to tolerate bad behavior. None. Other people are a consequence of being in a place where there are other people. What other people deserve cannot be known without more information about them so they can be judged.
Paul Krugman is confused, perhaps maliciously confused about President Trump.
