This is a sensual album that will cause you to slow down and contemplate. Chris Botti is one of the smoothest trumpeters ever. He has a light lyrical touch that’s quite the opposite of say a Sousa march. This album is Romantic music. A smooth set of notes.
This music transports you to another place and time. The fist selection is by Chopin, delicious as interpreted by Botti.
Chris received the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album award. He deserved it although the music is of a higher level than “Pop” .
