Last night Coach was interviewed on Channel 3. He had some coaching advice for Eagles SUper-Star quarterback Carson Wentz. Vermeil is impressed with Wentz and compared him to Dak Prescott. Frankly, Wentz has a faster release and throws a faster ball but Dak has a nice soft touch which means more catchable balls.
Vermeil said: “He appears to have those attributes: poise, confidence, toughness. There are certain people who, when they get in a game, it slows down for them, and there are certain people who, when they get in a game, the game gets faster. Carson Wentz, the game slows down for him.”Vermeil also noted that Dax has a lot more experience which is a negative for Wentz.
Coack Vermeil had this advice for Wentz: “throw more long balls”. Coach said in too many situations teams gor for the short yardage to get first downs instead of going longer when he advised Wentz to do. Sage advice from Coach Vermeil who is 80 years old and looks like he’s in his 50’s. Life seems to agree with Vermeil. Good..
