To love a country or a culture one must love the music. Music is at the heart of a culture. South Africa was presented to the world in 1974 in a musical; “Ipi Tombi”. Xhosa and Zulu warriors with white sheepskin covered calves, brilliant choreography, colorful South African costumes and the music. It’s all about the music. It melts the differences in the 200 plus different South African tribes as well as the differences between black, white and Asian people.
But when the show is over, well it’s too bad but that’s the end of the melding.
