You get lies in the media about South Africa, South Afrikans and Apartheid. Afrikaners are descendents of the original settlers of South Africa, who are white and being persecuted with Cecil Ramaphosa’s government approval in their homeland. I’ve been to South Africa. It’s a beautiful land which, unfortunately due to the government people should not visit today because of the danger from both the government and the people. Sixty three commercially important minerals including diamonds, gold and platinum were mined in significant quantities before the degradation of the country which caused White Flight. There are over one hundred different black tribes in South Africa and basically they constantly fight against government, other black tribes and against white people. There is no way to find black individuals who, for example will buy things on credit then disappear into the bush without paying. They cannot be prosecuted because they cannot be found so the money they owe can never be collected.
Before my first visit to South Africa there were news reports of riots and buildings being set afire yet I saw things directly contradictory when I arrived. The country was at peace and everything worked really well. The very first human heart transplant occurred in Capetown by Dr. Christian Bernard.
During his first and second terms, Trump signed various executive orders and his administration made significant policy decisions to halt nearly all refugee admissions to America, except for white South Africans.
“President Trump has been very clear that we are prioritizing the resettlement of Afrikaners in South Africa who are escaping government-sponsored race-based discrimination, a US policy indicated in E.O. 14204,” a state department spokesperson said in a statement.
In a statement, a White House spokesperson, Anna Kelly, said: “President Trump has provided a lifeline for Afrikaners, who are being raped, maimed, killed, and driven off their property across South Africa.

For fiscal year 2026, which ended on 30 September, the Trump administration capped the refugee limit at 17,500. The US only accepted 16,292 refugees total during that time – nearly all were white Afrikaners, except for five from Afghanistan. The overall cap was 125,000 under Joe Biden.
Trump and his allies say there is a “white genocide” against the white minority population, which led South Africa during the apartheid years. In February 2025, Trump signed an executive order claiming that Afrikaners are victims of “unjust racial discrimination”.
