When the atmospheric air moves it’s called wind. Differences in air density cause lighter air to rise and more dense air to fall or drop. Air density differences to the side cause the air to move across the ground. It all follows the laws of physics. The problem is air is invisible. Pressure differences can be measured with pressure gages or barometers. All this is related to flight and flight is possible to gliders, airplanes and helicopters. A special case is rockets which are powered by gas going through the back or bottom end and fins along the side to help direct the rocket. Bottom line is it’s difficult to grasp all this without rudimentry physics as well as some other information about airplanes and helicopters. Helos are harder to fly then airplanes because helo lift comes from the roter which is controlled for pitch or blade angle and speed which is controlled with the throttle which is the rotational control on the end of the collective handle. the cyclic control controls which way the horizontal force of the rotor is directed. There are foot pedals to control the way the helo is facing. Its all a lot harder than flying an airplane which is hard enough.
