Yes, there are differences. No, the causes are not understood. In fact, the causes have never even been determined. Cats for example think faster than dogs. Why is unknown but slow thinking cats are not able to cope as well as fast thinkers so thinking speed is a fact. Thinkling depth is not directly measurable either because both require apprehension of a complete thought throughout it’s existence and that’s never been done. Brain processing speed can be measured very prrecisely but the thought or action or whatever is exciting the electrical process of the thought is not available. The Bell Curve does not hold that black people are better or worse than white people. It simply reports the so-called measure of intelligence which is not an actual measure of intelligence but merely the answers to a series of questions.
