Life, of course requires movement. A heart beats, a stomach growls, an eye blinks but photography, by creating pictues, holds life still for just a moment and thereby changes lives by providing a base for the movement.
We thrive here because of evolution that created us as we exist today. Differences? Yes, of course ~ because of the local environment; and all of the various cultures evolved differently because of the local conditions. Are we from the same ancestors? Probably not if humans appeared in different places and there are sufficient differences between the races and cultures to support theĀ multiple point origin of the human species. Strange however how different cultures found some of the most different and amazing places to call home.
Overall, earth is both different and similiar depending on the location. Europe had the most advanced civilizations until America came along and in the 250 years since the beginning of America many desirable things came to be available and they spread thruout the globe. National geographic, a horrible Liberal, Left wingnut publication that weaves Socialism into it’s reporting nevertheless cannot put Socialism into the photographs which are visually stunning. Dorthea Lange wrote: “Photography takes an an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still”
