I know you’ve been gone almost 8 years now, since 2018, and I miss you. January 8 was the day mom took down the Christmas tree and that was a week or so after most people took them down. Most people take down their Christmas tree on New Years day, a week after Christmas, having put it up and decorated it on Thanksgiving or a week or two after that but we were a bit different because mom kept it up until your birthday. January 8 continues to be a special day for me. I miss you.While there is no consensus on when to take down Christmas decorations, some follow religious traditions and keep their tree up until Epiphany.
