Sunday, November 23 is a day that will go down in infamy. Not since Pearl Harbor has America seen a loss from a 21 to zero score early in the game change to a 24 to 21 loss by the end. The Chicago Bears are ecstatic. They can beat the Eagles on Black Friday with their cheerleaders.

Siriani, Hurts and Jeff Laurie need to step up, get some better talent and fire a bunch of coaches and players. This was a college level effort after the initial 21 to zero beginning. Hurts isn’t the quickest quarterback so he needs to learn how to find the receivers in the first three or four seconds, a tactic he just doesn’t get which is proven by his scranbling and his 3.18 second average release time. Tom Brady released the ball at an average of 2.47 seconds. The average release time for NFL quarterbacks is 2.69 seconds. Hurts average time to throw was the longest in the NFL in 2020 and 2021 and the second slowest in 2023. Despite all of Hurts scrambling which means a blown play he gets out of trouble time and again but today’s loss showed a losing result to his scrambling. Hurts average release time doesn’t include the times he was sacked or that he had to run the ball because he couldn’t find an open receiver. Yeah.. That’s good because he doesn’t throw interceptions but bad because he misses opportunities. He cannot improve on his time to release because it depends on talent he doesn’t have. We’re stuck with Hurts and it hurts. But waiot just a minute. It’s one game. the Eagles get another chance to win on Black Friday against the Bears and the Eagles are favored to win by 7 points. If they play as good as they did in the first quarter against Dallas that will be easy. If not they could win by a three or four points which would be good enough.
