Born in 1962, Rosie “came out” as a lesbian at age 40, in 2002 which means she’s not a heterosexual female. Nature did that. Nature usually causes males and females. A lesbian is a female who is attracted to other females who are not attracted to males. Nature does that. There are multiple genes which determine a persons biological nature. Rosie’s genes went a bit haywire so she’s a natural lesbian. It has to do with the XX and XY chromosomes. Rosie’s are out of balance with nature so she presents as a lesbian which is one of the mistakes nature makes with females. Rosie is no longer America’s problem, having moved to Ireland and announcing she is done with America. Her and her aberant nature are now Ireland’s problem and Ireland and the poor Irish who through of fault of their own have this human affliction with which to deal but it turns out Rosie isn’t Irish at all, she’s Welsh. Because she’s not Irish she cannot be granted citizenship in Ireland. Turns out the Irish are over Rosie. “I Don’e Want Her, You Can Have Her, She’s Too Fat For Me” comes to mind.

The O’Donnell family tree appears to firmly root itself in Wales, meaning Rosie has about as much claim to Irish heritage as a leprechaun from a breakfast cereal commercial. Records indicate her great-great-grandfather Emrys O’Donnellapwynn, a blacksmith from Cardiff, moved to Liverpool in the 1800s, where the family began conveniently referring to themselves as Irish to avoid explaining Welsh pronunciation to confused Englishmen.

When informed of this unfortunate twist, Irish officials politely suggested Rosie reapply for residency in Wales instead, a move met with immediate rejection from the Welsh government.
