No.. No you cannot say whatever you want whenever you want. It’s not that free speech is not absolute, which it is because speech can have an effect on others. Yelling FIRE! when there is none can cause a panic. Saying Charlie Kirk deserved to die can have unintended consequences. In addition, he did not deserve to die. He did not deserve to be the victim of violence and Tyler Robinson committed murder when he shot and killed Charlie Kirk but people are being fired for saying he did. Are they protected by Free Speech? No. Their speech had consequences and the protection of their speech is overweighed by those consequences. In part it’s because they are wrong. Being wrong can have consequences and people who say Charlie Kirk deserved to die are wrong because of the facts so they can be fired for exhibiting poor thinking. Poor thinking can get someone fired. In the case of those fired for thinking Charlie Kirk should have been killed or that he deserved to die so he got what was coming to him are so wrong in their thinking that no one in their right mind would want to associate with such a wrong thinker.
