because they rotate and if they have a magnet and if that magnet can pass over a wire into which a bit of electricity is produced then the pinwheel will be making electricity. Large windmills can be used to spin electricity generators but it takes a load of wind to make usable amounts of electricity. The best use is to use the windmill to charge a battery then send the electricity in the battery to an electricity user but the cost of the system and the electricity generated are more expensive than using a diesel engine to run a generator so why bother?
Same for solar power. It takes more power to make solar panels than the solar panels can generate in their lifetime so why bother? One answer we hear is that solar panels will get better but in the meantime they aren’t better, they’re worse so in the meantime don’t use them.
The absolute best way to produce electricity is to use a nuclear reactor to produce steam which can power a generator but the Left and other enemies of America hate nuclear reactors so they caterwaul against them and the politicians who need every vote stop nuclear generators from being built.
