Jake Tapper claimed the “bottom line is the White House was lying to the press,” “members of their own cabinet,” “White House staffers,” and more about “how bad” Biden’s decline had become. However, Gutfeld rightly noted that the press can’t claim a cover-up of something Americans saw daily on their TV every time Biden spoke or appeared in public.
In true Gutfeld fashion, the video does include some profanity as he made clear this is about Biden’s mental state “turning to mush,” and the media’s “culpability in covering that [vegetative] state up.”
“So, now you are hearing all that crap you already knew,” Gutfeld said, noting headlines about Biden’s staff “tried to hide his decline” and Biden “forgetting names of longtime aides,” or George Clooney. “But these are shocking revelations to whom? No, something is only shocking when it isn’t previously known.”
“We watched Biden fall apart for years,” he added. “But they’re calling it shocking to pass this scandal off as something they were completely blindsided by … But it’s not about Biden’s health. It’s the media’s. At least Biden’s still alive.”
Gutfeld played a series of clips by the likes of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Nicolle Wallace, and former CNN anchor Jim Acosta, who tried to spin Biden’s debate performance and claim he was fine.
“It’s amazing,” the Fox News host said. “Joe Biden wasn’t running circles around anyone. The talking heads were circling their wagons around him. And now these new books are designed to protect the media.”
Gutfeld said it was the media’s job to press the White House on spin, but instead opted to “gaslight” the American people for doing their job.
He said the media died on June 27, 2024, the day of Biden’s disastrous debate against President Donald Trump, when they went into full spin mode to claim Americans didn’t actually just see Biden fall utterly apart.
“The media is dead and there’s no going back,” Gutfeld said. “You can blame the Dems or Dr. Jill [Biden], but no, this was self-inflicted. And their time of death, June 27, 2024.”
A clip played that the legacy media is dead, not just due to the Biden cover-up, but so much more.
