Tjhe gun is the missile launching system that guides interception (bullets) missiles. Each missile costs millions upon millions of dollars because of the various engine systems. Up to four “motor” sustems can be used on one missile. Since it is virtually impossible to actually hit an incoming missile the interception is a huge explosion that is large enough to destroy the incoming missile. These systems were called “Star Wars” during the Reagan adminstration because they were considered impossible while today they are common and routine.
