For the purposely self-enstupidated who advocate turning off the electricity for an hour we wish and hope they will not be robbed, raped, in need of medical attention, heat or air conditioning, transportation in an abbulance or help from the fire department or the ambulance service during in the dark hour as the naive coprophagic’s put their lights out. We hope law enforcement keeps their wits and lights about them as the police are in danger when they cannot see criminals. On the flip side, criminals have an easier time of it in the dark so the thought occurs that criminals are behind the dumb idea of turning out the lights because it makes their illegality easier. Perhaps criminals have inflitrated the hatred of civilization groups to encourage this witless idea. Power from fire; electricity from oil, coal or nuclear power; transportation in liquid fueled vehicles and something as simple as being able to work, study or play sports on lighted fields is so simple today that it’s taken for granted that life was alwsys so great. It wasn’t. Electricity is one of the reasons life has increased from 30 years during the neolithic years of only 10,000 years ago to the 80 plus years today. The Earth Firsters should be on their knees in thanks for the human achievements in accessing energy instead of turning off the lights. They couldn’t even eat a candy bar without abundent, inexpensive ebergy. Shame on their naivette.
