Unfortunately five people lost their lives as a result of the crash. As a high time pilot my comment is that the pilot and perhaps a co-pilot flew into a severe downdraft that overcame the two powerful turboprop engines and literally pushed it into the ground. Perhaps the pilot was surprised at the strength of the downdraft but he or she should not have entered such fierce wind. They should have known better than to try to fly when the strong possibility of such winds were forcast.
