Slavery started in Africa… WHAT!!…. Yes, in Egypt and was prevalent in Egypt for several thousands of years before the beginning of the Atlantic slave trade. Slavery was practiced in Africa, in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, the period beginning in 2700BC Four Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Three ((4,723) Years Ago. For the 1619 people that’s about Four Tousand Three Hundred Nineteen years before slaves were brought to North America.
The evidence shows enslaved people from some parts of Africa were exported to states in Africa, Europe, and Asia prior to the European colonization of the Americas.
That means: Four Thousand years before 1492 when Columbus discovered America, Egyptians were selling slaves which makes nonsense out of the 1619 claim. Slavery didn’t start in North America and America never sanctioned slavery. Never.
