Lacking Sportsmanship, missing the ability to compete fairly according to the rules, the NFL has regressed into a Sports Ghetto. I am a football fan, always have been. I am no longer watching. Here’s why. Ghetto’s are low in rule-keeping and high in crime. The NFL with all of the rule-breaking by the players has descended into and has joined the ghetto’s of America.
“Inner city” is often used to avoid the word ghetto, but typically denotes the same idea. Geographic examples of American ghettos are seen in large urban centers such as New York City, Chicago, and Detroit. The NFL has become another American Ghetto complete with rule-breaking, fist-fights, and other behaviors indicative of low intellectual behaviors. the NFL is not watchable because of the ghetto atmosphere, aka. “Da Hood”. Football has become an inner city game.
many of us will no longer be supporting anything NFL or NFL-adjacent going forward. Make yourselves feel good about rich athletes protesting inequality all you want, but real people in America are working hard to live decent, productive lives, and we don’t need stupid cheaters infused in what was once an escape. Steve Vanburen was my favorite player growing up so you know how far back I go with football. I just turned off a Wildcard game because of the absense of sportsmanship.
