In many ways the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination and the Lesbian Gay Bi-sexual, Transgender Queer people, GLAAD and LGBTQ, have made the public-at-large, that would be the heterosexuals, more aware of them. Same-Sex attraction is very different yet in some ways very much the same as heterosexual attraction. Attraction is merely providing something that is noticed.
There is also the matter degree which is missing altogether from various sexual and gender conversations. Some gay people are only mildly sexual, just as some heterosexuals have a very low sex drive yet there is nothing in the literature that addresses that other than “low sex drive” or “low libido”. Why is that? Is it only the screamers who get all the attention? Yes. The quiet ones may stay in the closet forever, keep their sexual inclinations to themselves and never enter the mainstream. OTOH, the quiet heterosexuals can do the same thing, yet they will never be counted. Pity. Sex is the strongest emotion, at least in normals. Just like there’s an ass for every seat, as the car salespeople say, there’s a mate for every miss. Men and women belong together. It’s normal. It’s natural. What about the gay and lesbian people? The same. It’s the same for everyone. Men belong with women and women belong with men. That’s normal. Anything else isn’t despite all of the catchy anachronisms.
