“Doublethink requires holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.” Religion is a set of supernatural beliefs about the creation of, the origin of and the working of the universe and all that entails for people. The belief in both the natural world and the supernatural world is a classic example of doublethink.
