There is no such thing in existence as Rights. Rights are intangible things. They exist as a thought, as an idea but not in reality. You cannot point to a Right. There’s nothing to point at or to. Rights require thought. Rights require thinking No fetus can think therefore no fetus has Rights. Rights pertain to the pregnant woman but not to the embryo or fetus. Usually the so-called, mis-named, hypocritical Pro-Life crowd dismisses the pregnant woman and abandons the fetus immediately upon birth. Their reason is to ignore the massive injustice of their views on the woman. The Right To An Abortion belongs only to the pregnant woman so the hypocritical Pro-Life crowd is forced to ignore the woman because it is to her they commit their massive sin. It is a mortal sin to ignore a pregnant woman’s Right-To-Exist yet that’s exactly what the mis-named, mortal sinning Pro-Life crowd does.
No fetus has an independent existence. Life requires an independent existence. A kidney is not alive in the sense that living is required for life. No fetus can breathe. A fetus has lungs that don’t work. Of course each person has things that don’t work at the moment but once a person is born they 100% acquire Rights. No fetus has value except to the pregnant woman where is most cases the value is much higher than and beyond the concept of value. Harm to the fetus is harm to the pregnant woman who is in 100% complete possession of the fetus which is hers therefore harm to a fetus is harm to the pregnant woman who is in complete possession of it. Make of this what you will. The issues of pregnancy and embryonic and fetal development are many, deep and varied but the idea that an embryo or a fetus has Rights is simply nonsense and makes no sense except for those who ground Rights in the magical and/or the supernatural. For them fetal Rights make sense and need no proof other than their belief. Fine. For them their protection of the fetus can be of immense importance to a pregnant woman and immense danger simultaneously.
