Wentz to Ertz is an exciting combination. With all of the phony kneeling for a hodge-podge of reasons and the fight for social justice it’s important to remember that things that seem to be one thing can also be something else. Kneeling to get social justice by the Eagles has an effect on the fans who ultimately pay the bills. If the fans want to watch football and the players want to kneel to protest an issue the protesters need to think about how the fans will react. Some fans are just fans who like to watch the game and don’t care about the protests. Other fans don’t like to have their noses rubbed into the protests so their enthusiasm will drop and their commitment to watch and just be a fan will decrease. Still other fans will become ex-fans who are mad that their game is bring interrupted so they will say to heck with it. I’ll do something else. When people get mad at the protesters for interrupting their enjoyment of the game they can protest themselves by not watching and/or by stopping to buy the products of the sponsors. So far no reporter has considered the reactions of the fans. That isn’t fair. One side gets attention and the other side is ignored.
