The players and the media are over-estimating the support of the fans. The fans want protests to make sense. No one at the professional football level should be thinking about social justice. There’s a time and a place for everything. Sports is being ruined because of the protests of black people against the Star Spangled Banner so protesting against the National Anthem is a clear protest against America.. Not just the police or the feelings of blacks towards whites but everything because The American Flag, The Star Spangled Banner flies over everything including Black Lives Matter, the Democrats and the kneeling players. Colin Kaepernick grabbed a tiger by the tail and it’s gone out of control.. That’s why the kneeling players and coaches were booed. There are loads of fans who resent being put in the middle of someone else’s fight. They resent the kneelers in part because it’s a one-sided protest. The fans really resent the coaches who permit the kneelers and the owners who permit the coaches who permit the players to take over our watching a game by being forced to watch them as they get to do what they want without consideration of the effect on the fans. Fans are a big part of the protest and they don’t like it. Play ball or protest… Take your pick. You can’t do both.. It’s either protest or play. If you protest… if you decide to kneel don’t be surprised by the boo’s and don’t be surprised at the fans who will refuse to be a part of your protest.
