Having been in 92 countries it can be reported that wherever people live in larger towns and cities there are attractive landscapes. Be it rivers, mountains, rolling hillsides, waterfalls oe spectacular views there has been a tendency for peole to settle where it looks good. This came to mind by studying Abbottabod, the place where Osama bin Ladin was killed ten years after masterminding the 9/11 attacks in America. Clicking around Afghanistan, the Caucuses where Josef Stalin was born, and Pakistan one is struck by how great the photo’s of the place look. These countries are not the best places to make one’s fortune. The economies are mostly third world but the scenery looks great.
There are plenty of sophistocated places around the world, mostly in Westrern Europe. Paris is still the top city to visit but be careful in the neighborhoods. Vienna, Rome, Berlin, the Algarve in Southern Portugal, Santorini and Myconos in Greece, Monoco, the Plaka in Athens, The Cliffs of Moher in Western Ireland, Niagra, Iguazu falls are all great. San Francisco, New Orleans, Capetown if it’s still safe, Rio, Buenos Aires, Patagonia, Easter Island but it’s too bad there has been a religious war going on in so many places. So long as there are bad people there will be war. It goes back to Cain and Able right up to the wars in the Middle East. Too bad. If you travel, be careful, not just for pickpockets and theives but for enemies who seek you death. That’s just the way it is.
