Include two or more things at once.
A photo of one thing, a tree for example can be a technically perfect photo but not of much interest. Put a kid in the photo and the two subjects will change a technically perfect photo into a great photograph. If you are in an airplane and see a great looking cloud make sure to have a part of the airplane in the photo.
Photo’s of one thing are important and not to be dismissed. they are often record shots to show something.
A wedding photo of the inside of the building, perhaps at floor level becomes great when the bride and groom are added when they are doing something important… kissing at the end of the ceremony which adds some drama and makes a great photograph.
