Blaming Roosevelt and therby America for the loss of Poland, Eastern Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and so on is born of hatred of America.
It was impossible for Roosevelt to use the American military to insure the freedom of Eastern Europe. The America military didn’t really belong in Europe. America should not have helped invade NAZI controlled Europe because no American interests were at stake.
To blame Roosevelt for not continuing to invade the other European countries, countries some of which were already occupied by Stalin and Russia is to dismiss the fact that Stalin was already in those countries, that Stalin, no matter how despicable a man he was had to the trusted despite the fact that he couldn’t be trusted and both Churchill and Roosevelt had no choice but to finalize World War II in Europe. Unfortunately that helped Stalin consolidate his occupations in Eastern Europe until the USSR was finally overcome by events and ceased to exist in December of 1991 but not before murdering 13 more Lithuanians at the battle at the TV tower, Jan 12-14, 1991 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Those murdered Lithuanians, murdered by the Russian military were the final victims of the Cold War. George H.W. Bush, aka. Bush I was no help which furthered anti-American feelings in Eastern Europe which continue to exist but in all fairness, no European country did anything to help Lithuania either. Nor did the United Nations. Stalin had a complete, 100% victory in Lithuania that continued to repress Lithuania from Yalta until 1991. Does that make you feel a bit dirty? Maybe you should.
